ISO is a series of standards that maintain an effective quality assurance system for service and manufacturing.
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies that develops and publishes international standards for quality management systems.
From the ISO website: “Standards are developed by people who need them through a consensus process. Experts from all over the world develop the standards that are required by their sector. This means they reflect a wealth of international experience and knowledge.”
So, what does all of that mean for Majestic? In a nutshell, that what we say and do is regulated, and that we’re held to a set of quality standards set forth by an independent third party, not just by Michele over in accounting.
Our ISO 9001:2008 certification focuses on the effectiveness of the quality management system we’ve put in place to meet customer requirements. That includes everything from correctly tagging our steel with the proper coating weights to confirming that the steel we’re selling our customers works for their end use and everything in between.
Really, it’s just one more way we’re showing that what we do and say is accurate, honest and double-checked each and every day.
