What is the Cass Freight Shipment Index?
The Cass Freight Index measures the volume of intra-continental freight shipments across North America from the entire Cass client base. These shipments can include everything from raw materials to finished goods. While 75% of shipment activity recorded comes from trucking, the Cass Freight Index also includes rail, air, and all other domestic modes of transportation.
Why is the Cass Freight Shipment Index important?
The diversity of Cass clients, their yearly spend on freight, and the aggregate volume of transactions included in the Cass Freight Shipment Index make it a strong representation of North American shipping as a whole.
