The positive momentum around the residential market continued in May as new home sales increased for the third consecutive month. New home sales came in at a 763,000 unit rate in May, up 12.2% from April and up 20.0% from the 636,000 unit rate in May 2022. This is the second consecutive month with a year-over-year increase in sales.
